The Great Lakes Rodeo Queen and Court competition consists of a horseman skill competition, rodeo knowledge quiz, public relations, barn management, appearance and personality. The Lil' Miss contestants also create their own stick pony.
The reigning queen and court will make various appearances around the Upper Peninsula; UP Equifest in Escanaba, 4th of July parade in Gwinn, Gwinn Fun Days Parade, and Carney Roundup Rodeo in Carney.
